Athlete Spotlight
Athlete Spotlight - Chelsey Sveinsson Did you know that one of our senior swimmers is not only a great swimmer but an outstanding runner? This fall, Chelsey Sveinsson competed in Cross Country for her high school and won the title for SPC. That isn't her only feat, she recently competed in the 2007 Foot Locker Regional Cross Country Championships and finished 7th, and in the 2007 Foot Locker National Finals placing 15th classifying her as an All American. Chelsey was the only freshmen competing at Nationals. She was also named Cross Country newcomer of the Year by the Dallas Morning News. Congrats Chelsey! |
ATAC Middle School Swimmers DPL Winners
Several of our middle school swimmers participated in the Spring Short Course DPL Swim Meet representing their respective schools.
Junior Varsity: Erin Barnett (50 Back- 2nd, 50 Breast- 3rd), Devin Clark (100 IM- 4th, 50 Fly- 5th), Erin Finch (50 Breast, 50 Free), and Maddie Mailliard (100 IM- 1st, 50 Fly - 1st, 50 Free- 1st).
Varsity: Maura Finch (50 Free, 50 Back, 50 Breast) and Andrea Case (100 IM- 1st, 50 Free- 1st, 50 Back- 1st).
With both Maddie and Andrea taking top honors winning DPL High Point Female in their divisions.

ATAC Athletes Brave the Cold
Four courageous ATAC athletes endured the cold and a run that included snow in the Iceman Triathlon/Duathlon on April 7th. Lyle Sarembock, PJ Taylor, and Alix Kohrs did a 1500 meter swim, 6 mile bike, and 5k run while Kameron Kilpatrick did a 3000 meter swim and 3 mile run.
